Das Shanbehzadeh Duo spielt traditionelle Musik vom Persischen Golf, aus der Gegend der Stadt Boushehr im Süden des Iran: Lieder, Tänze, Musik und Perkussion. Die Musik von Boushehr ist eine Mischung der Traditionen von Persern, Arabern, Afrikanern und Indern, die sich vor Jahrzehnten an dieser kulturellen Schnittstelle am Rande des persischen Golfs getroffen haben. Diese Vielfalt ist das Ergebnis eines erstaunlichen Reichtums an Traditionen, wo die Musik einen hohen Stellenwert in allen Aspekten des Lebens spielt, von der Religion über die Arbeit bis zu sozialen Anlässen.
Das Duo hat sein Publikum im Iran, aber auch in Europa und Nordamerika mit den Rhythmen und feinen Melodien dieser erstaunlichen Musik begeistert. Zu den Instrumenten zählen Neyanban (iranischer Dudelsack), Neyjofti (iranische Doppelflöte), Dammam (doppelseitiges Schlaginstrument), Zarbetempo (Schlaginstrumente), traditionelle Flöte, Senj (eine Art Becken) und Boogh (Ziegenhorn).

The Shanbehzadeh Duo plays the Traditional music of the Persian Gulf, from the town of Boushehr : Songs, dances, music and rhythms. The music of Boushehr is an amalgam of the traditions of Persians, Arabs, African and Indian, who met centuries ago at this cultural crossroads in the south of Iran on the edge of the Persian Gulf. This diversity is the result of an astonishing richness of traditions, where the music plays a vital part in all the aspects of the life:  religion, work, social events, dramas and fears.
The Duo has delighted audiences in Iran, Europe and North America with the rhythms and subtle melodies of this astonishing music. The principal instruments include Neyanban (Iranian bagpipe), Neyjofti (double flute), Dammam (percussion with double face), Zarbetempo (percussions), traditional flute, Senj (kind of cymbal), Boogh (horn of goat).
